Falling in love with your life.

Falling in love with yourself or life is not about vanity or egoism, but rather about self-acceptance, self-care, and self-appreciation. We have few things we can do to cultivate a strong, positive relationship with our yourselves.

Practice positive self-talk:
Start each day with affirmations that remind you of your strengths and beauty. Positive self-talk makes a person feel good about themselves. It can encourage and motivate a person to keep going, look on the “bright side,” and put things into perspective. Examples of positive self-talk are, “I am really happy for myself,” “I am doing well,” or “That is not great, but it could be worse”. In real life, I always have to hug myself whenever I don’t feel up to it. I like myself a whole lot, even on days when I don’t give myself enough grace. Don’t fall into negative self-talk traps.
Many people are conscious of an inner voice that provides a running monologue on their lives throughout the day,” notes Psychology Today. “This inner voice, or self-talk, combining conscious thoughts and unconscious beliefs and biases, provides a way for the brain to interpret and process daily experiences. Treat yourself like you would treat a friend.

Engage in activities that bring you joy.

Engaging in activities such as dancing, swimming, or playing a sport can release endorphins, which are known as “feel-good” hormones. These activities can bring joy through the sense of achievement and the enjoyment of movement. Whether it’s dancing, painting, or going for a walk, make sure you schedule time to do the things that make you happy.

Set intentions for your day
Have a to do list, i mean plan your day ahead. Daily intentions are a powerful way to stay focused on your goals. Learn what daily intentions are.
Something I find helpful to combat this feeling is to set a daily intention. This means taking a moment to pause before the day begins and asking myself what I want to get out of it. By doing this, I’m able to stay more mindful throughout the day and focus on the type of energy I want to attract and put out into the world.
Setting a daily intention takes no more than five minutes, and it keeps you connected to your goals, desires, and needs.
An intention is a commitment to yourself.
An intention isn’t necessarily a goal or something that you measure. With goals, we’re often taught to set them using the SMART framework, but an intention isn’t as formal as that.
An intention is a feeling. A vibe, if you will.
Rather than something to achieve, it’s something to BE.

An intention:

  • A tool to guide you through the day as you’re faced with decisions to make
  • A reminder of what you want to focus on (because we all know how hard it can be to focus)
  • The act of identifying the type of energy you want to bring into the day
  • A reminder to stay mindful throughout the day.
Intentions can align with your values or goals. They can also relate to the type of person you want to become. For example, if you value productivity, your intention could be, “Today, I intend to stay focused and avoid distractions.”

You will be surprised how movement without any distractions could do. Movement is of benefit to our mental health too. Movement as simple as a walk to give your brain a refresher can be enough.
Our brains take in so much throughout the day. We owe to it to take breaks often or wind down to allow it to rest and continue to operate at its optimum.
Sometimes, we want to escape the world and not feel it and be in it. When you feel like that, just go for a walk without your phone.

So often we would take walks listening to music, or respond to messages or scroll through our social media sites. We easily reach out for our phones for a number of reasons, and going out for a breath of fresh air seems to be no exception.

Allow your mind to be unengaged.
Take a walk intentionally for the simple act of walking. Let your mind wander away from the connected world, and succumb to connecting to the natural world. Let yourself cave in to existence and reality with not too much thought. You just might discover something new, learn something about your yourself, your neighborhood or the world, or maybe, your next epiphany!
